The beauty industry is constantly churning out new products, and some are more hyped than others. But some of these products, new and old, just miss the mark for me. Here are eight of those products.
1. Fenty Foundation
Yes, I applaud their shade range. That doesn't mean I can ignore that this foundation was not good. I have combination skin that leans more towards oily than dry, and I found this foundation very very dry. So I can't imagine how it would hold up on dry skin.
2. Mario Badescu Facial Spray
I mean, this product and it's longstanding hype is just ridiculous. This product is mainly comprised of water, alcohol, fragrance, food dye and preservatives. If you want a rosewater spray, just buy a bottle of pure rosewater and use that.
3. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
It's just not my vibe. I find this mascara too clumpy, and it also dries up pretty quickly. I've given it way too many chances, thinking I might like it if I just use it one more time. I blame the travel-sized tubes in the Mecca line.
4. Nars Laguna Bronzer
I just feel like this product doesn't really show up on my face. I wouldn't say it's a bad bronzer, but it's just not great. Most of the time, I actually use it as an eyeshadow, and it works well there as a light crease colour.
5. Nars Orgasm Blush
Like with the laguna bronzer, I prefer using this product as an eyeshadow. I used to love this a few years ago, but now it's just far too...sparkly. I find it way too intense for my average look. That being said, I still use it as a blush every now and then.
6. Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask
I tried a sample of this a while back, and I just didn't love it. I didn't find it that incredible a product, plus it has some ingredients I'd rather not have on my face. I've been using the Frank Body Glow Mask for years and prefer it, plus it has a much better ingredients list.
